Why You Should Buy a Used Pickup Truck

Durability

They then lose another 10% of their value every year for the next five years. At that point, it will be only about half its original price.
Because of this, a pickup truck will lose value faster than you can pay off its loans if you’re using a financing plan. After a few years, whatever’s left of the loan will be greater than its value.
Obviously, this is bad for those buying new pickup trucks, but you’re getting a great deal by buying a used one. After its first five years, it will depreciate much more slowly, so you can get a good portion of your money back if you decide to sell it.
Features and Equipment
Buying a used pickup truck may not get you the latest features, but depreciation can get you better features than if you were to get a new one.
On new trucks, optional equipment can greatly increase the price up to 50% more than the base price. If you can find a used truck with many of those optional features, you’ll be able to buy a well-equipped truck at a fraction of its original price.
Versatility
Pickup trucks are highly versatile and offer the benefits of both passenger and utility vehicles. They’re perfect work or family vehicles. Trucks are quite powerful, so you can attach a trailer, providing you with quite a few benefits.
In terms of versatility, there isn’t much difference between new and used pickup trucks. The savings you get from buying a used one leave you with enough in your budget to spend on new tools or a roof rack.
Warranties
Most used vehicles come with some components that are still under warranty. This lets you save even more money by lowering repair costs, which you will likely need for a used car.
Be sure to ask the dealer about this when you’re checking out a pickup truck. See if they have maintenance records available as well.
